Maratone di Pulizie

Diventate volontari delle Maratone in una della zone più amate di Roma. Aiutateci a rimuovere I graffiti vandalici, gli adesivi, e tutta la spazzatura che deturpa i nostri bei quartieri. Grazie al supporto della Fondazione Giuseppe Garibaldi, Comune di Roma, dell’AMA, Vivere Trastevere e alla partecipazione degli studenti delle università e scuole di Roma (The American University of Rome, University of California, Arcadia University, AOSR, John Cabot, St. John’s, St. Francis, G.G.Belli, e altre) più le famiglie delle ambasciate U.S.A in Italia.
Become a RETAKE ROME volunteer. Help remove vandalistic tagging, abusive posters and litter defacing our beautiful city! Thanks to the support of the Giuseppe Garibaldi Foundation, Comune di Roma, AMA, Vivere Trastevere and the participation by students of Rome’s international universities and schools (The American University of Rome, University of California, Arcadia University, AOSR, John Cabot, St. Francis, St. John’s, G.G.Belli, and others) and families of the U.S. embassies in Italy.

Retake Rome è attualmente un’iniziativa autofinanziata dai volontari e vi sollecita donazioni private di Euro 15,00 per aiutare a sostenere i costi di acquisto dei materiali di pulizia per gli studenti volontari che stanno lavorando nei vari siti di proprietà privata della città. Un kit di pulizia (detergente, spazzola, guanti e mascherina) è necessario per ogni volontario.

I congratulate you for your fantastic Earth Day Efforts…. Its wonderful wonderful to see ACTION… wonderful.
I am the optimistic madwoman artist who founded the Italian Onlus TEVERETERNO. I lived in Rome for nine years working night and day on the dream of my life – to found an artistic project that could possibly inspire the City of Rome to retake the Tiber River and to create a ‘water commons’ where free public programming could draw Romans and visitors back to the Tiber..
Last Natale di Roma – April 21st after 14 months of letter writing and two meetings with City Officials.. the proposal TRILOGIA – Forme di Lupe nel Tempo – permission was granted at the very last minute. The understanding was that the City of Rome in collaboration with AMA and or the Netteza Urbana would eventually work with us to Powerwash the wolves on Ponte Sisto !
There have been numerous conversations and emails between myself and city officials to clean up Ponte Sisto….. but there has not been enough political pressure to make it happen.
A friend in Rome sent me the UTube Video just today !
I congratulate you and WISH WISH I could have had an opportunity to collaborate on this effort !
HALLELLEUHAHA… I am thrilled to see that Ponte Sisto has at last been cleaned……It was never my intention that the wolves would stay there.
I thank you for your work and would like to meet you when I am next in Rome at the end of May!
